Why should I Visualize and let go
Why do I have to visualize and let go? Why can’t I just visualize for how long I want?
When we talk about creative visualization, we are constantly advised from research and self help gurus to visualize for a few minutes a day and then to “let go.”
Have you ever asked yourself why it is advised to not keep thinking about your mental images and let go after your visualize? After all, the more you visualize, the faster you should achieve your goals, right?
The reason it is advised to visualize only for a few minutes, several times a day is because most people have concentration problems and are unable to focus their attention on one object or one mental image for a long period of time.
Usually, when we start to visualize something we want, doubt and fear start to arise a few minutes after we start using visualization. Research shows that more than 80% of our thoughts are negative, so no wonder why doubt and lack of faith start appearing in our minds constantly.
This implies we have to train our minds to focus on what we want more than what we don’t want. We have to take charge of our minds and the kinds of thoughts we tend to think. For more info, see “the ultimate guide to achieve your goals.”
This is the reason it is advised to start holding short visualization sessions at first, until you start developing positive mentality that will help increase your faith in yourself and in your abilities.
Visualize and take charge of your thoughts
Here are a few tips to help you take charge of your thoughts
1. Become aware of your self talk and how you interpret situations and circumstances
2. Begin to correct your self sabotaging thoughts which have a big impact on your emotions and how you feel
3. Develop your concentration skills by holding daily visualization sessions for a few minutes
As your practice, you will begin to realize that your concentration skills are improving and that doubt and lack of faith are beginning to decrease. Only then, you can begin to hold longer creative visualization sessions than you are doing now. Make sure when you visualize, you are in a super happy mood and feel the emotions of what you are mentally seeing.
Use all of your senses to feel the emotions and you will be on your way to achieving great results in your life. Creative visualization has helped change my life in many areas and I’m positive it can help you too, so what are you waiting for?

Indeed Dia, affirming and visualizing is not enough. When I deluded myself into believing my past doubts and echoes of “Nos” could not harm me, I suffered woefully. There are many ways that we delude ourselves and suffer woefully. I remember several times when I affirmed an aspiration and visualized an outcome but refused to deal with past NO’s. I’d read a book that said that affirming and visualizing was all that it took to succeed. I’d deluded myself into believing this, and the consequence was woeful. This common misconception has caused many folks grief.
