What is the type A personality? Do you know what type A personality traits are? Do you have type A personality?
John got up late today, so he is very upset that he didn’t wake up on time. He rushed into the shower and when he got out to get dressed, couldn’t find the shirt that matches his pants, so he got frustrated as he is a perfectionist and everything has to match.
When John got to his work one hour later, he found an email from his manager informing him that he has to give presentation to one of the customers. He started to worry excessively about his presentation and if he is going to do a good job as he didn‘t prepare for it.

As I mentioned in my book “How to overcome worry and have peace of mind” that people with personality A type might suffer from excessive worry and anxiety more than others because they tend to be perfectionists, workaholics, and impatient.
Over time, people who have type A personality characteristics might experience excessive anxiety and worry which could have a negative effect on their health. As I mentioned in my previous article “How your thoughts affect your body” that you have to be aware of your thoughts and how you manage your life, so it doesn’t affect your health and body.

1. Create a balance

2. Develop good habits
Developing good habits is crucial for type A personality as it will help such person to deal with worry, anxiety and stress a lot better. For example, if you tend to worry and stress over minor issues like making a mistake at work, then learn to interpret situations and events in your life in a positive way.
Instead of focusing on the negative side of events and situations, you can start focusing on the positive side. If you make a mistake, then view this as a learning opportunity instead of a mistake.
By working on changing how you interpret situations, you are developing good habits that not only can free you from excessive and unwanted worry and anxiety, but also can help you lead a happier life filled with peace of mind.
