Program your mind for success

Program your mind for success

Do you program your mind for success or failure? Which thoughts do you usually let in your mind, positive or negative?

Any frustration, depression, sadness, or lack of enthusiasm you might have is the result of your internal self-programming in the subconscious mind. The emotion that you feel right now is based on what you have programmed your mind and subconscious mind in the past, either negatively or positively.

You need to understand the causes of your negative programming. Experiencing painful situations, negative upbringing, psychological pressure of work among other reasons could lead to:

1. Tension

2. Sadness

3. Depression

All of these happen because of your negative programming. Do you see what negative thoughts can do to you and your health?

To program your mind for success and to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts, follow the below steps:

1. Think and focus on your future goal

A) Make sure you write down the most important goal you have in your life

B) Plan for your goal. If you don’t plan, others will plan for you.

C) Before you go to bed, visualize that you have achieved your goal. Make sure that your emotions during visualization are full of optimism and happiness.

2. Positive emotional recall

A) Find a quiet place and relax

B) Think of a positive experience that has happened to you in the past.

C) Stay concentrating on the positive experience for a few minutes.

Emotional recall is an exercise that actors use to remember specific emotion such as joy, happiness, fear, and sadness. In our personal development niche, we would use an emotion that is about happiness and optimism when we use the emotional recall exercise. If you do this second exercise at night before you sleep, you are more likely to have the same positive feelings in the morning when you wake up.

I am a great fan of writing things down, so few people put their goals on paper and this is such a powerful effect vs just having them in your head.

Interesting stat about 3% of people too,
    Many thanks,

  2. Dia says:

    Thanks Kate,

Exactly, writing things down helps a lot, so our goals sink in our subconscious mind.

    Have a nice day

  3. Dia: Couldn’t agree more. We have to make certain that we are letting the right types of things into our mind and focusing on the right information. This means that we shouldn’t just absorb whatever is out there and we should strategically focus on how we are programming our minds. Great point and insight.

  4. Jean Sarauer says:

Not only does it help us move towards our goals more quickly and with greater ease to write things down, visualize, and do emotional recall but it fills our minds with positive energy. Anything that diverts attention from negativity is a good thing in my book!

  5. Dia says:

@Thanks Sibyl, Exactly, letting only positive ideas into our mind is very important. After all, this is how we program our mind with success

@Thanks Jean, just like you mentioned, anything that takes our mind off negative things is good. Have a great day

  6. Ben Tien says:

When discussing the subject of mindset, there are two types of people in the world; those who believe they will succeed and those who believe they will not. If you wake up every morning believing that you will accomplish something positive, chances are you will achieve that goal. However, if you wake up in the morning believing that it’s just another day and your single goal is to just get through the day without a specific positive goal in mind, chances are you will remain stagnant and possibly miserable. How you perceive the world and how you fashion your thinking makes an extraordinary difference in the outcome of your day-to-day life.

  7. Dia says:

    Hi Ben,

I couldn’t have said it better. This is exactly what happens. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

  8. Good article. i didn’t know that only 3% manage to plan achieve. By looking around I thought the figure is even lower. Keep up the good work. :)

  10. You delivered great insight in this post Dia! We do need to be careful of what type of thought we allow into our minds. Our subconscious is a goal mechanism, and what we feed it determines the outcome. I like this statement in your post, “B) Plan for your goal. If you don’t plan, others will plan for you.” In addition, we need to be conscious of the way we interpret words. Frequently, we use negative words and tell ourselves, that “we know what we really mean.” For example, using the word “hate” to describe something we dislike.

  11. Dia says:

Thanks Sandra, exactly that is why it is crucial that we feed our subconscious mind with positive thoughts. Otherwise, we get a different outcome that we really don’t desire.

  14. Great post – love the focus on success without having to impose your definition of success. I find that the words I choose to use have great power and energy. More positive words, words that support my goals and reflect my values, help drive me in the direction that I want to go in. Thanks for reminding me that there is a road.

Positive words help us stay focused on our goals for sure. Thanks for stopping by :)
