I’m so fed up with life

If you want to stop being fed up with your life, then read the quick tips below:

1.  Examine the root cause

How did you get to be so depressed that you can’t handle it anymore? Knowing what lead you to this position is an important step in dealing with excessive anxiety and depression.

2.  Expect the best

Your expectation plays an important role not only in determining your success and reaching your goals, but also in controlling anxiety and depression. Do you always expect the worse out of the situations or you expect the positive?

You need to work on developing a positive mentality and you can achieve this by reprogramming your subconscious mind with positive expectations.

As you probably know that the subconscious mind gets programmed by repetition so the more you repeat positive statements to yourself and really feel the meaning, with constant practice, you will begin to expect the positive out of situations.

3.  Express your emotions

Many people try to suppress their emotions when they feel anxious, worried, stressed, or depressed, however, the problem is that suppressing such feelings and emotions will lead to extreme depression and health problems according to various studies.

Expressing your emotions doesn’t mean you have to keep dwelling on your negative thoughts 24 hours a day. What it means is for you to release your anger and the held up emotions within you.

Take 5 or 10 minutes every day and think about whatever you want that is causing you grief, then shift your focus to what you truly want to achieve in life.

4.  Surround yourself with positive people

Surrounding yourself with people who lift your spirit up like your family and friends is crucial if you feel that you are fed up with life. You can learn a lot from others experiences.

Be with people who support and encourage you. They can for sure help you see the light.

5.  Meditate

Make meditation part of your daily life as it is a great source of clearing your mind and reducing the negative thoughts you are experiencing especially if you are fed up with life.

Meditate and you will find that you are able to control your emotions and negative feelings better. As I mentioned in my book “How to overcome worry and have peace of mind” that when your mind is clear and serene, you begin to feel a great sense of relief.

6.  Focus on solutions

There is no point in dwelling on the problems. If you want to take charge of your current situation, you need to start focusing on solutions that will help you get out of your dilemma and problems.

7.  Build your self confidence

Lack of confidence is one of the major factors that make people fed up with life and depressed. If you suffer from lack of confidence in one of your life domains, then start making plans to improve your skills in those domains.

Once you start gaining the confidence in the new skills that you learn your confidence in yourself and in your abilities will increase.

Have you ever wondered why some people are happy and have peace of mind while others keep worrying? Why do some people’s life filled with worry while others filled with happiness and peace of mind? My e-book How to have peace of mind answers those questions and teaches you the scientific ways to control and overcome worry and have peace of mind.

  2. According to me, one gets fed up in life only when they choose to ignore the beautiful world around them and keep thinking of those set backs in life. Hope that this post opens atleast a few of those eyes.

    Hello Dia,

my first thoughts for Jane is to take things into her own hands if she cannot get a job. Why put herself at the mercy of others? In our modern age everyone can and should start out on their own. If someone cannot give her a job, than create one for herself.

Once she is able to do that than all the pointers you raised here becomes viable to improve life. For those seeking to solve their life issues, taking responsibility and taking action is the first and most important step.

  5. Hi Dia,
“Expressing youself” and letting it out has to be good. One has to be careful with depression- seek professional help. Many though do confuse ‘depression’ with ‘being depressed’ – your fine points above would definitely help if feeling depressed.

I know that when you are feeling a lot of anxiety, having a positive outlook is not easy. But it really goes work along with never keeping your feeling bottled up. Express yourself and talk to someone. They may be able to help you see something you never thought of before. Meditation also really helps calm you more and stop hanging around with negative people. I think when we’re fed up with life it’s a clarion call to activate what does make us come alive, what interests us, gets us excited, gets the endorphins flying, the heart pumping with enthusiasm, and the mind racing with creative ideas and full of buzz. Fed up = waking up to all we’ve longed to enjoy and make happen. From a guy (me) who once was about take his own life!!

  12. Because of the stress we felt, this may happen , some people are fed up because they don’t have work, full of stress and many more, I think the best solution here is prayer and try to believe in yourself , its not bad to feel over confident sometime,am I right?
