How to combat daily stress?

Are you looking for ways to clear your thoughts from all of the daily stress? 

Stress is something that happens to all of us from time to time.  Challenges at work, home, relationships, or health can be overwhelming.  The longer your give it your attention, the stronger it gets to be and if you are not careful with your thoughts, you will find yourself at a place where you can’t  enjoy your life anymore.

Mark is a good example of this.  He works 10 hours a day and faces severe anxiety and stress on a daily basis.  When he goes home, he can’t seem to think of anything else, except his work which is really affecting his relationship with his family and friends.

1.  Go for a walk

One of the best ways you can clear your mind is by going for a walk.  Walking gives you the opportunity to put everything behind and focus on the present.  As you walk, you can begin to focus on your dreams and desires.  Focus on what you wish to accomplish and have in 5 years from now.  This is a perfect time to work on your mentality.

2.  Listen to inspirational audios

We live in a digital world and personal development audios are widespread and easily available to all of us.  Make it a habit to take 20 minutes a day and listen to something that lifts your spirit up and put you in a positive and good mood.  Here are some suggestions:

3.  Visualize your goals as if they are real

The art of visualization has been proven to be one of the best tools not only to help you program your subconscious mind with your desires and aspirations, but to alleviate the stress that you experience in your daily life. 

Take around 15 minutes a day and visualize yourself 5 years from now.  See yourself as if you have already achieved your goals and passion.  Hear the people congratulating you on your successes.  Act and feel as if everything is real.  You will be surprised by how relaxed you will feel when you do this exercise correctly.

4.  Pray

According to research, praying to God has proven to be very effective in minimizing stress in people’s life.  A study was carried out on 400 people found that 90% of the individuals who prayed experienced more inner peace compared to the folks who didn’t pray on a regular basis.

Praying can take many forms such as giving thanks for everything you currently enjoy, helping someone in need, or doing formal praying.  The trick is to find what works for your and start doing it regularly.
