I keep seeing the phrase “Emotional Inteligence” but never knew what it meant until now.
The idea of interpreting situations in positive or negative ways is a powerful concept.
My wife is the optimist and I’m the pessimist and we often differ in how we interpret things.
As you say – if a situation can be optimistic or pessimistic… why not choose optimistic?

We simply cannot achieve our aims and aspirations if our emotions are taking us on wild roller coaster ride. Monitoring our inward self-talk is the best way to keep us on target. We lose our way if when our negative self-talk derails us… and we move ahead straight as an arrow when our self talk directs our emotions intelligently and effectively.
