Get rid of your laziness and plan your day

Do you know people that wake up in the morning not knowing what to do?  They go on with their day without having a plan. When the day is over, they find out that they accomplished nothing. I am sure you know many people like that. Planning your day is the most important skill that you learn to achieve your goals. If you do not plan your day, then you would take longer time to attain your goals. Always remember that an unplanned day is a lost day, so learn to plan your day effectively.

I know an elderly woman who runs every single day. She does not change her plan for the day for anything or anyone. She runs even if it rains or snows. This elderly woman knows the secret to having healthy body and to living longer life, so she plans around one hour of running every day. She has a goal and sticks to it.

Follow the guidelines below to learn how to plan your day effectively:

1. Plan your day the night before. If you think about it, many people spend their day responding to people’s needs instead of theirs, so at the end they end up responding to people’s needs instead of their needs. Make sure you plan your day the night before, so you know what you are going to do that day to help you get closer to your goals and desires.

2. Make to-do list. Plan what you are going to do every single hour and make sure you prioritize your list with the most important goals first and the least important goals last. Concentrate on the important tasks on the list. Don’t waste your time with trivial tasks such as checking your email every hour or chatting with somebody for an hour.

3. Don’t forget to leave sometime for yourself to think, ponder, and for emergencies. If you are going to work for 10 hours, for example, make sure you leave 2 hours for pondering and emergencies. At the end of the day, reassess how your day went. Did you accomplish everything you wanted to do? Was your day beneficial?

We all have the same twenty four hours every single day, use every hour to do something beneficial for you and for your life. Don’t let your day go by with doing nothing to help you improve the quality of your life.

  3. I believe that blogging has helped me to get things done in other areas of my life. If I feel lazy, I get over it fast and do what needs to get done. I have the same mentality towards blogging. It has to get done in order for it to be a successful project.

  7. Dia, I use daily planners that are linked to my long term goals. Each daily task fits in with what I want to achieve this week/month/year. Well, that it the plan anyway. It doesn’t always work out that way but at least with a plan I am setting out to achieve something that is part of my long term goals. Without that plan/daily task sheet I wonder where I would be today :-)

Normally we can’t remove laziness, unless we are motivated to do so. these are common problem of many people specially when they are doing something , for example watching TV, or playing Video games. If kids does this, try to exposed them into the nature, have a family vacation, maybe this is the best solution.
