Does visualization really work?

Does visualization really work?

Can you really attract success and prosperity into your life through visualization? What is visualization? Do you visualize daily? Does visualization really work?

Many people wonder if visualization creates miracles and if visualization makes dreams come true. Some have read about it in books, some have heard about it, others have misconceptions about it and not many people practice it daily.

Visualization is a powerful technique that helps turn your dreams and goals to reality. Visualization helps you attract success, health, wealth, and prosperity. Visualization if done correctly, can do miracles into your life that you never thought possible.

Visualization creates reality

Around 5 years ago, when I used to work for one of the International companies, I wanted to go on a business trip so badly, but didn’t know how. I have always looked up to the people such as presidents, directors, and vice presidents who get to go on business trips, so I had a strong desire to travel on a business trip just like them.

I started to visualize myself going on a business trip and pretending that I’m some important guy in the company that had to go on a business trip. I used to see myself going to the airport during my visualization sessions, hearing the sounds around me, meetings some employees that work in the other facilities.

Guess what happened? After around 11 months, the director said that I will be going to Germany for around one week for training. It was a dream come true.

Six months afterwards, I also had the chance to go on another business trip to a few countries in Asia.

Do you see what the power of visualization can do? I can hear you say it is a coincidence. Nope, it is not a coincidence, but creative visualization does work. Do you want more proof?

When I was 10 years old back in 1989, just as most children, I looked up to singers, actors, and television stars. There was a particular singer that I looked up to when I was 10 years old and always wanted to become a friend with this celebrity as I enjoyed the music that he presents and his vocal capabilities.

After 10 years, I had the chance to talk to this celebrity and became a close friend with him. Many people wish to become friends with a celebrity, but can’t, yet I was able to through creative visualization.

All this was done unconsciously by me at that time, but when I got into personal development and creative visualization in 1998, I realized what I was doing unconsciously and started applying creative visualization in my life consciously.

You see now what visualization can do? If I could do it, then you can and this why I kept reiterating in my book “the ultimate guide to achieve your goals” the fact that if you want to achieve important and great goals then it is crucial to work on developing your visualization techniques.

I still can go on and give you many more visualization examples from my own life, but I will stop over here.

Best time to visualize

Visualization can be done at any time in the day, but according to research, the best time to visualize is at night before you go to sleep and in the morning before you get up.

Your subconscious mind will accept these thoughts, provided they are powerful and then your reality will change accordingly.

Always remember what Alfred Montapert said, “To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize, then plan… believe… Act!”

Do you know that only 3% of the world’s population manage to plan and reach their goals? The main goal for is to help you become from the top 3% of the world’s population who know how to achieve any goal they desire in all areas of life. ”The ultimate guide to achieve your goals” was released to help you achieve everything your heart desires.  To check books, click here

Very true, Dia. It is no coincidence your visions were realized. We all do this subconsciously not realizing we are doing it. The trick is we want to make the subconscious, conscious. A crystal clear vision backed with intentional action has our aims and aspirations as real as the ground under our feet.

      Hi Rob,

Exactly my friend, we all do it subconsciously, but many unfortunately focus on what they don’t want, hence attract what is negative. Just like you said, a crystal clear vision along with taking action and having faith is the key to manifesting what we want. Thanks Rob

  2. Spot on Dia.

To accomplish our heart’s desire; we must first see where it wants to go.

I can personally attest that positive visualization is a life changer. When you can paint a clear picture or a vivid image of something you intend to do you put yourself in the best position to acheive it. To me visualization is the best form of motivation because I constantly strive to reach what I have “seen.”

The stronger your vision the greater the benefits. Great Post Dia.

Nicely written Dia, visualisation is a very excellent topic to discuss!

As Rob said, we want to make the subconscious, conscious. If we can turn what our subconscious provides into conscious thought, we’d be able to accomplish so much. Visualisations are a step in that direction, helping us realise our dreams and turning them into conscious reality :-)

  5. I’m a huge fan of visualization Dia. I especially use it when I do public speaking. Because I never have a written script, before I get in front of an audience at try to see the entire presentation before I give it–my gestures and general order of topics and how the audience will react. It’s amazing how this is like ‘practice’ before I actually have to get in front of everyone….and it works so very well.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Great topic man.

Dia – great article. I’ve come to learn that visualization empowers our mind to bring forth what envision. Prior to actually living and believing this, I thought it was hoax, within your mind…and really, it is within our mind, and what we visualize comes to reality.

  7. Dia, I think you hit the nail on the head with this:

“All this was done unconsciously by me at that time, but when I got into personal development and creative visualization in 1998, I realized what I was doing unconsciously and started applying creative visualization in my life consciously.”

Most of what works in life – the key to our success in a given thing – is usually done subconsciously. We’re not even aware we’re doing it. It’s so natural to us. This is why we dream of what we long to do. It’s something that unconsciously feels natural. Great post, buddy!

    Thanks for the fantastic article!

This is wonderful and oh so true. I think everyone should visualize them obtaining their goals and what it’s going to take for you to get there. Visiualization really does have a strong positive impact on your ability to actually reach this goals. I catch myself visualizing reaching my goals all throughout the day. 10. You are very right Dia. Visualization is a great thing. the Bible even states “You are what you think you are.” When i was a single mother and had no money I started visualizing writing out check to pay my bills. Low and behold the money started coming. I was in sales and everything just started coming together. Visualization is amazing and everyone should stop complaining about lack and start visualizing. If they feel they don’t know how they really need to pick up your book “the ultimate guide to achieve your goals”
It could be the best thing they every did for themselves.
    Thanks for the reminder Dia.

    Hi Dia,
You are absolutely right. Vizualization does indeed work. There was a time I really wanted to go to college, but it seemed I had too much against me. I kept fantasizing about it, playing it out in my head the people I would meet, the conversations that would be inspired. It came to be eventually. I loved every moment of it. With visualization we can congure great things into our lives. Thanks Dia!

  12. That’s what “the secret” is entirely about; visualizing success and feeling it, then it becomes reality. It can be very tough for the target audience to reach that success through such a method though, as their reality may not be all peaches and cream.

One of the things that people have misconceptions about is that when they visualize, they will get everything they want. The key is to visualize, be detached, have faith, and act on your inspiration. When you visualize and have faith, the rest is easy. Thanks Brandon

Even when my thoughts are at their worse I will start to think about all the things that I am grateful for.

I have tried visualization before and it has worked for me at varying degrees – I’m just working at becoming a master at it though.

I am glad that you have provided Montapert’s quote, “To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize, then plan… believe… Act!” The process of visualization is an active process…not a passive one. One cannot just sit still and believe that as one closes the eyes and scrunches the nose, one’s world will dramatically change. Instead, one would have to think about what it is truly needed and begin the process of preparing the self for the visualized future. This is done by doing the actions and tasks that enables one to achieve the established goals. If done, I think that in time one would see that the visualized dreams have been actualized.
