Did you give up on your goals

Did you give up on your goals

Did you give up on your goals? Did you let the dreams you once had die?

As a child, you probably had big dreams growing up. You started to envision yourself becoming a lawyer, doctor, a businessman, singer, or anything else that you have passion for. As you grew and years have passed by, you started doubting yourself from the thousands of NOs you have heard from your parents, friends, relatives, and society.

You began to lose confidence in yourself and started to view your goals and aspirations as something impossible that will never come true. You then began to give up on life and decided to live from day to day without having hope, faith, and belief that you can achieve all of your goals.

Has that ever happened to you? I’m sure it did as we all have experienced rejection, setbacks, and obstacles, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dreams.

Imagination is the key

All of the accomplishments that you see today such as big corporations, sky scrapers, cell phones, I pads, computers, and television were someone’s dream at one point. One of the main differences between these people who have accomplished a lot and turned their dreams to realty and you is that they relied heavily on imagination and visualization. As Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is the preview of life’s coming attraction.”

If you look at your life now and don’t like what you see, then it is time to fix your mental images that you tend to focus on most of your time.

Of course, there are other reasons that are important and you have to acquire many of these areas if you are really serious about turning your dreams to reality, but let me tell you that imagination is one of them.

Never give up on your goals

I’m here to tell you persevere and never give up. If you continue working on improving yourself internally and externally, then within short time, you will see your dreams reflected in your life. I guarantee it.

  1. Every once in a while I make a list of long term goals. It’s fun to go back to that list after a couple of years and see how much I accomplished. Some of them are small goals and some are big, but either way, it’s good to see what has been accomplished.

  2. Hi Dia,
Your post comes to me at a good time – thanks for this! I’ve been becoming a bit discouraged with life lately and Life, for instance as well. Things are changing and I wondered if I should continue (with Life, for instance, that is). I like your suggestion of using imagination. This was how I started – looking at the forest but after a while, you focus on the trees, don’t you? Time to reclaim the dream as I first saw it.
    Thanks again,

  3. Hi Dia,
Imagination is certainly one of the keys and a very important one at that.
