hello dia

how are you?

thanks for sharing this post because i absolutely benefitted from it considering the current projects i'm working on.

it serves as a reminder of the need to exercise a bit of patience before seeing positive results and also the need to stay motivated when the results dont spring up as quickly as i want them to

finally the importance of handling procrastination once it sets in and as you've rightly pointed out aim for excellence rather than perfectionism.

take care and enjoy the rest of the day

Hi Dia,
The message you conveyed in this post is very much meaningful. We all search for peace outside ourselves, but often overlook a simple truth that external peace is nothing but a reflection of our own inner peace.

Once we achieve our inner peace, the world around us changes beautifully.

Outstanding article my friend.

Thankyou Dia,
Our thoughts are powerful beasts.....and as you say, when they become 'beliefs' they are even more powerful. I love the realisation of internal peace, harmony then manifesting into the external occurrence of same. It is true e.g think happy thoughts & you notice more people smiling as you pass them....& the list goes on. Work on the 'internals' & the externals become more pleasant.
be good to yourself

This is absolutely true. If you have hate inside then you will see hate outside, and if you have love and peace inside then you will see love and peace outside.

I absolutely believe nothing in your life is there that doesn’t match your thoughts or beliefs in some way.

I also believe that your inner-self (the part of you that just wants to love and be happy) is so smart that if you just listen to it, acknowledge it, then you will always find that you have happy thoughts, beliefs, and outer reflections of that. After all, your inner-self just wants you to be happy!

So my answer to how to change yourself internally is to just listen to your internal self. The gut instinct, the ‘voice’ that says you are doing something wrong or right. And when you hear it, head it’s warning.

Great message!

Hi Dia,

I'm impressed about this important life lesson you give us here. It is so true and profound. Some call it 'as within so without', others call it 'the world is your mirror'.

In my own life I experienced this phenomena last weeks several times - it is not always a nice lesson, it can hurt. When my boss turned me down some time ago, I noticed that I was turning down another guy in the office with exact the same degree. When my girl friend was nagging me at home, I noticed that I was nagging somebody on the office.

Aristotle wise lessons are so profound and true.

Thanks for sharing

Hi Dia,

Brilliant post my friend.

Regarding trying to be perfect, it reminded me of what being perfect meant to me. I used to always feel like I had to do everything perfectly. This was until I realised there is no such thing as perfect. What I was really experiencing was a feeling of 'not being good enough'.

You are 100% right about setting specific goals. Vague goals just do not give enough information to the brain.

Hi Dia,

Setting short and longtime SMART goals is the best you can do if you want to live a purposeful life. Visualising is my favorite part as well. I believe that 'what I see is what I can get'. If I cannot see it in a clear way in my mind, I will never be able to get it. But if I can see it, I am almost certain I will be able to get it.

Thanks for sharing your idea's
