31 tips on finding peace of mind

Most people would love to experience peace of mind on a regular basis to free themselves from stress, worry, and anxiety that often come with life challenges. Most of us humans seek inner peace, after all, who doesn’t want to have a calm and peaceful mind free from stress?

Peace of mind is very achievable in life, but this requires you to practice and be able to clear your thoughts and calm your mind.

When you are able to calm your mind, then you will begin to experience serenity no matter how your outer circumstances are at this point.

Top reasons for seeking peace of mind

  • To stop your thoughts from controlling you
  • To manage worry, anxiety, and stress
  • To stop reminiscing over painful events from your past
  • To start forgiving others more easily
  • To have a restful mind free from worry
  • To stop the inner chatter in your mind
  • To stop taking everything personal in life
  • To seek enlightenment

As I stated in my book “How to have peace of mind” that all of these negative thoughts, stress, and worry bring lack of inner peace and sadness into one’s life which is why most people seek to find ways of attaining peace of mind and serenity in life.

Top notch list Dia and we are all capable of every one. We let mental and emotional torture dominate us when calm contentment and relaxed minds are not far away. You capped it all off in fine style with being present now – we are prone to projecting ourselves far off into the future or back into the past when our lives are in this instant waiting to be loved and enjoyed. Now is always the best place to be. Continue the super work my friend.

  5. Great tips, Dia. All wonderful and practical, but one of the toughest I’ve found (and it’s a shame) is “be grateful at all times.” Man, I’ve flunked this one. A lot. But it’s so simple: if we walk in gratitude, it makes the other tips come so much easier and better. Thanks for your reminder, my friend.

This are all great tips Dia! When i’m super stress from work, I’m having a massage to worn-out stress and at the same time to relax my mind. I also believe that “Pray for yourself and others”, I think this is the most effective way to have a peace of mind.

  10. What a wonderful guide to take us to that longed-for state, Dia!

I especially appreciate the suggestion to go to nature. There is something deeply moving and at the same time settling and peaceful about nature. I always get so contemplative whether on an isolated beach, in the mountain or desert. Nature speaks to my soul in very renewing and regenerating ways.

With so many people so harried and frenzied in the fast-paced culture of modernity, a good guide to more peace of mind is very timely!

Thanks for the list, my friend!

Hi Dia- What I like about this post is that it calls us to action. All of these tips to finding a peace of mind requires some form of action. This goes against the societal view that peace comes to you when you are still, not doing anything, not moving… Even the art of relaxation is a conscious effort that require a mindful action. I guess the learning lesson here is that with mindful action, we find peace of mind.

    Thank you! :)
