15 Things I wish I had known earlier in my life
I would like to begin this post by thanking Abubakar, Jamil for the invitation to write about the things I wish I had known earlier in my life. Abubakar’s post inspired many bloggers to write about the things they wish they had known earlier in their lives, so I advise everyone to check them out.
Let me start by asking you, do you learn from other people’s experiences? Have you come across an idea that you wish to have known earlier in your life?
You know that we all go through experiences in our lives. Some are good and some are not so good. Many times you might get an inspiration and you say to yourself, “God, I wish I knew that earlier.”
In this article, I will list 15 points that I wish I had known earlier in my life:
1. Our thoughts control our emotions.
2. Planning is essential if we want to succeed.
3. Happiness is an internal emotion. Instead of looking for happiness outside of ourselves, we should look inside.
4. Visualization is powerful and helps us attract what we really want.
5. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables are good for the human body and important if you want to create healthy eating habits.
6. Mistakes are no more than experiences and we shouldn’t put ourselves down if we make some, instead, we should view our mistakes as experiences and opportunities.
7. We can achieve everything we want in life if we believe we can.
8. Learning many languages is important to be able to communicate with many different people.
9. Life is sweet, we should enjoy it to the maximum.
10. Creative thinking is a major key to success.
11. Money is something good, not something evil as many people think.
12. We can’t change people, we only can affect them.
13. Never worry about the future, live in the present.
14. Learn as much as you can. Knowledge is power.
15. Life is a choice that we make.
Do you know that only 3% of the world’s population manage to plan and reach their goals? The main goal for 2achieveyourgoals.com is to help you become from the top 3% of the world’s population who know how to achieve any goal they desire in all areas of life. If you have a specific goal that you want to accomplish or want to improve an area of your life, but do not know how or why you are not getting any result, then this is the place for you.

Dia,
Thanks for writing this post and participating and sharing your insights with us.
I belong to a personal growth book club, and members frequently say they wish they had read a particular book earlier in their lives. While it’s true we could save ourselves a whole lot of suffering by knowing things earlier, in some ways the knowledge is extra-sweet when it comes to us after we’ve stumbled around in the dark for awhile.
Hi Dia,
It’s insane how many of these ideas should be the ABC’s of life, but we sadly only get acquainted with them later in life.
Thanks for sharing your nuggets of wisdom!
@Thanks Abubakar, it is pleasure to participate.
@Thanks Jean, many times we wish that we’ve read a certain book before we experience some kind of suffering. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
@Thanks Haider, many times, we learn the hard way unfortunately.
Dia: What a great list and idea. I will have to take your recommendation and do the same thing. I really liked the 15 points you shared. I think you touched on 15 very important life lessons. Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom. I really enjoyed reading through them and seeing what rules and realizations you have integrated into your life.
Thanks Sibyl, we all learn some lessons in life. Glad you enjoyed it, have a nice day and take care!
It’s good that we now know all of these key points now, but knowing does not translate into actions that easily don’t you think?
Yea, it doesn’t translate to action that easily, but if we are determined, then we have to take action, otherwise, we go no where. Thanks My Reverie for your comment
You know, if more people took # 12 to heart, we’d all be so much happier! Excellent points, also # 7 rocks. Love your list Dia – from a rhyming name, Tia
Thanks Tia, for sure once we accept the fact that we can’t change others, our lives would be a lot happier and less stressful
Dia, good lessons and I agree with #11 – always have and always will! Money is an object just like a gun or a weapon or a material thing, we are in charge as thinking and logical human beings! Thanks for sharing these thoughts – and I am going to do my list for Abubakar and my readers next – wish me luck
!
Hi Farnoosh, Yes that is for sure, money is just an object, it is up to us to use it wisely. Good luck on doing your list, you will do excellent, that is for sure
Dia, very insightful as always good stuff
Hi Dia,
Great list! I particularly liked your references to creative thinking and visualisations. But my favourite is definitely the happiness one – look in not out to find true happiness. If you don’t see it, find a way to create it and it will be with you forever. Powerful stuff. Thanks for sharing.
